about me
Robyn Paton: Kitten-Minder, Crafter, and Snap Happy Photographer
Usually found blathering on about the cuteness that is three-week old kitten ears, or the quality of japanese fabrics versus american quilting fabrics (I know, how can they stand it?), I can also be found writing here about daily life in a house full of all of the above, along with an ungodly amount of music, a boyfriend who fully supports her addiction to wine and fine cheeses, and more than one recipe book dedicated solely to pies.
When I’m not writing here, you can usually find me working on something crafty, taking photos, trying to stir up something wonderful in the kitchen, or working on something creative for my day job.
Originally from halifax, ns, I currently call ottawa, on, my home.
The Kittens
Most of the kittens featured on this site are part of the foster program at the Ottawa Humane Society. This GREAT program lets local cat-lovers ease the pressure on an often over-populated shelter and more importantly, give love to little baby kittens (and older cats too) who don’t yet have homes. We’ve fostered more than eighty kittens (and one mommy cat!) who have all gone on to find wonderful and happy homes.
You can find more information on the OHS foster program here. Not in Ottawa? Google “animal foster program” and your city name to see if you can find a similar program near you. Love animals but don’t want to foster? The OHS is always in need of supplies, and they also really need a new shelter.
