For ages, I’ve been looking for good compostition notebooks for music, and sketching, and storyboarding various stuff. I keep a LOT of notebooks. They are literally everywhere. Under the bed, in the nightstand, in the kitchen, in my glove compartment, wedged into my laptop bag, etc., etc.
Plain notebooks, lined notebooks: easy to find.
Good music notation books? Impossible. Storyboarding books? Get real.
Until now. Moleskine has launched a new music notebook and a new storyboarding book. I want them both, but they appear to be impossible to find. All of the good paper/stationary vendors in this city give me funny looks when I even deign to request.

If you see one, will you tell me about it?

I love my moleskin pocket notepad. Perfect size. I picked mine up in the market at the “Paper Papier” @ 18 Clarence, ph. 241-1212. They at least will have a clue what a moleskin is if you wanted to try ordering from them. I was there last May and they even had some of the larger moleskin blank notepads. Worth a look?

The Librarie Soleil may have them as well.. they carry those cute little orange Rhodia notepads.
Notebooks rock. I don’t know how many great ideas I’ve lost to thin air because I had nothing to record it on…..
I could probably make a poem from all the words and phrases I’ve left behind on buses and restaurants over the years……..
