stylebakery is having an “on the rise” contest, where you can vote for your favourite independent designers. Neat! Finally, something for the underdogs.

Cut + Paste is a really cool indie consignment shop. Hmmm.

I want a stitch lounge in Ottawa. WANT. Even if I have to make it myself.

    There might be no Stitch Lounge here, but recently, the Clocktower Brew Pub [575 Bank St., Ottawa (613) 233-7849] was advertising a Thursday night event where there would be a DJ and “crafts”, the phone pole flyers said you didn’t have to bring your own supplies.

    Thanks Scrim – that event was a good one (Spins & Needles). It’s a standard monthly event that’s been getting ottawa crafties together for a while now. Very cool.

    Now if only it were more frequent!
