after a short stay, and lots of fun, including chasing spools of thread, stealing mango pieces and discovering treble, the fish, mocha is going “home” this morning. That is to say, almost home. I’m sure she’ll have a beautiful warm bathroom heater and a new family to curl up with before the sun sets on Saturday.

I wasn’t sure about her at first – she’s a bit bitey, and enjoys chasing your feet while you sleep, but she’s been an absolute doll. I think I’m going to miss throwing the whale and other assorted small objects non-stop.

So, here’s to Mocha’s soon-to-be-new-family. May they love her more than we do (not easy to do!). We’re going to miss her. And that pink whale.

For you non-toronto dwellers, the Decemberists are playing at La Sala Rossa in Montreal in May. May 22nd to be precise. Tickets are on sale soon, or so says the very nice man at the casa, this morning.

In? Out? Need a ride? Leave a comment. I, for one, plan to be there.

Those of you in Toronto will have your day, too, but, they’re playing Lee’s. La Sala is way cooler.
