lana and I were off to Dunrobin yesterday to catch up with my friend Deb and her very big horse Copain. Horses are nice to see, but friends are better. Check out lana’s photos too!

it was a bit grey and rainy, but there were a few moments of sunshine.

liz and I decided to get out of dodge this afternoon and head over to the blacksheep inn to check out Great Lake Swimmers, which sounds like it’s probably a whole lot of people, but it’s really just one guy who sometimes has a band, sometimes doesn’t.

I’d never before been to a matinee show at the blacksheep, but it was excellent. two full sets, a drive to the country in daytime. The music was great – I’ve been a fan of Great Lake Swimmers for a while now, but you just never know if you’ll like a live act more than you liked (or loved) their last album. But, I was impressed.

The blacksheep is fun, and cute, and totally the perfect live music venue. Screw big concert halls. They won’t have signs like these:
